The body of Narakorn Kittiyangkul, who was killed on Wednesday by mortar shell fired from Gaza Strip in Israel will be flown home and arrive Thailand next week, said his sister.
Wanpen Ya-ood said that Thai Foreign Ministry’s consular affairs department that her brother’s body will be sent by aircraft and will arrive at Suvarnabhumi International Airport on Monday.
Narakorn, a native of Nan’s Pua district, started working in Ashkelon in June. He became the third civilian since the start of Israel's operation to halt a bombing barrage from the coastal strip.
He succumbed to his wounds after being flown by helicopter to Barzilai Medical Center in that southern Israeli city . The mortar shell landed on a hothouse where he was staying.
