Former singer Lanna Commins lodged a complaint with police yesterday over a physical assault that she believes was the result of clashing political ideologies.

Lanna, 30, said the attack took place in front of a pub in Chiang Mai’s Muang district, which is a stronghold of pro-government red shirts. The singer is a supporter of the anti-government People’s Democratic Alliance Committee (PDRC).
“They mocked me since I was inside the pub. They mentioned my appearance on the PDRC stage,” the singer said.
The victim said her designer handbag, some cash, ATM cards, and national ID card went missing during the scuffle. Police said they would investigate the case.
