Angry lottery vendors demand lower prices

Lottery vendors talk to army representatives at the Thai Lottery Centre in Nonthaburi province on Friday to demand that the wholesale price of lottery tickets be less than Bt80.

The group blocked Sanambin Nam Road after finding that they would have to buy lottery tickets at Bt83 each, not Bt73 as before.

They said if they had to pay the higher price, it would be difficult for them to sell the tickets at Bt90 as ordered by the junta. Police are directing the traffic while negotiations continue.
