Students from various schools in Phimai district in Nakhon Ratchasima yesterday inspected a partly completed giant candle caricature of the Transformer protagonist Bumblebee.

The artist, Wachara Nadee, 48, teaches at Nong Bua Loi School.
Every year before entering Buddhist Lent, he carves a caricature of a famous person into a giant candle to add colour for tourists observing the Candle Festival Parade.
This year he asked his students for their opinions on who he should carve – and they requested Bumblebee.
The candle version of the robot is 2.5m high and is largely made from foam coated with yellow wax sculptured into shape.
It is 80 per cent complete, with only minor detailing left to go, and will be displayed on July 10.
