316,982 students affected

Caretaker Education Minister Chaturon Chaisang said yesterday that as of Friday, as many as 934 schools and educational offices had been forced to close or otherwise affected by the anti-government protests, thus inconveniencing 316,982 students and 18,164 teachers.

The ministry is currently inspecting damages, which will be reported to the National Human Rights Commission to later find remedial measures, as this closure is affecting students' rights and forcing them to lose opportunities.
