12 varsities to shut, defer exams

TWELVE universities and colleges have said they will postpone exams or classes in order to handle the "Shutdown" from tomorrow, while 13 other universities were still making decisions, Higher Education Commission secretary-general Tossaporn Sirisampan sai



Chulalongkorn and Thammasat’s Tha Phrachan campus will suspend classes until January 15; Srinakarin-wiroj will close for two days from tomorrow; Silpakorn’s Wang Tha Phra and Taling Chan campuses and Suan Sunandha Rajabhat will close tomorrow. Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep and Ramkhamhaeng have delayed exams; Pathumwan Institute of Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok’s Chakrab-ongse campus, and Bangkok University will close for two days from tomorrow. University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and St Louis University will also suspend classes tomorrow, he said.
