Siam Centre goes pop

Siam Centre is hosting a farewell party tonight to send its disciples off in style as the mall shuts its doors for a five-month renovation.
The free mini concert, which kicks off at 7 at Atrium 2 on the ground floor, features Pongsak “Off” Rattanapong, Ekkachai “Ekky” Euysangkomset and ETC.
While the renovation is going on, Siam Centre will have pop-up boutiques selling more than 50 fashion brands in Siam Discovery Centre and Siam Paragon as well as stylist mini-bars in Discovery Plaza.
Keying in to carry
Inspired by the digital world, American designer Jeremy Scott stamps a multi-colour keyboard print on Longchamp bags for autumn 2012.
For his 12th collaboration with the French leather goods brand, Scott continues to surprise with his offbeat style and sense of humour.
A graduated of Pratt Institute in New York, Scott created his own clothing brand and set off to conquer Paris in 1997. He has designed costumes for superstars like Bjork, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Rihanna and Beyonce and has been collaborating with Longchamp since 2007.
The Jeremy Scott collection is available at the Longchamp flagship store in Siam Paragon.
Hats off to Ralph Lauren
The US Olympic team will step out with Gallic-like berets at the opening of the London games, as part of their crisp uniforms designed by Ralph Lauren.
Lauren, the official outfitter of the US Olympic and Paralympic teams, is giving the entire team blue blazers – double-breasted for the men – with the official team patch and the designer’s signature pony motif.
They’ll be matched with cream skirts and trousers, and topped with navy berets accented with red and white stripes.
Lauren also designed the US team outfits for the Beijing games in 2008 and the Vancouver winter games in 2010.
