WHAT TIME IS IT, 007?

Daniel Craig again consults his Omega wristwatch in the latest James Bond thriller

Swiss watch brand Omega welcomed the latest James Bond movie with the launch of Seamaster Planet Ocean 600 M "Skyfall" Limited Edition at a special "Skyfall" screening and a launch event at Siam Paragon on Tuesday.

James Bond, the world's most loved spy who celebrates his 50th anniversary on the silver screen this year, has sported an Omega wristwatch since "Golden Eye" in 1995, and in the five following films he relied on his timepiece throughout numerous action scenes and daredevil feats.

In "Skyfall", Bond wears the steel-on-steel Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m 42mm with a matt black unidirectional rotating divers' bezel.

The 44-year-old English actor Daniel Craig was selected as the sixth actor to play James Bond in 2005 and since then he has

starred as 007 in "Casino Royale" and "Quantum of Solace". In addition to his role as Bond, Craig has worked across all of his profession's disciplines including starring roles in "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and "Cowboys & Aliens" theatre performances on Broadway.

In "Skyfall", the 23rd film in the franchise, the two Bond girls - Berenice Marlohe who plays the enigmatic Severine and Naomie Harris who plays Field Agent Eve Moneypenny - both wear Omega wristwatches on-screen.

The Swatch Group Trading (Thailand)'s Managing Director Christophe Viguerie enthused that, "James Bond is the world's most-loved spy, and this suave spy character has been bonded with Omega watches since 'Gold Eye' in 1995. Since then Omega watches have played important roles in many of 007's missions. The latest series, 'Skyfall', Omega is proud that 0017 chooses to wear Seamaster Planet Ocean 600 M Skyfall Limited Edition."

The Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Skyfall Limited Edition is powered by Omega's exclusive new Co-Axial calibre 8507. Skyfall 007 is on its rotor in black-varnished engraving. The movement is visible through sapphire crystal in the brushed

screw-in caseback.

Along with Omega's industry-changing Co-Axial technology, the watch is equipped with an "Si14" silicon balance spring. The combination is so stable and reliable that the Planet Ocean comes with a full four-year warranty. The Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Skyfall wristwatch is being produced in an edition limited to 5,007 pieces and is delivered in a special presentation box.
