The flood in pictures

More than 200 photos of the flood are on display in "Water+Empathy" at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre until February.

From depressing scenes of inundated temples, homes and streets to depictions of kindness and good cheer, the aim of the show is to highlight the spirit of the Thai people in helping flood victims. The show also will benefit the Fine Arts Department's restoration of damaged heritage sites.

Among the highlights are five photos taken by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, one of them a bird’s-eye view of Ayutthaya's Wat chaiwattanaram engulfed in floodwater.

All bottled up

After Christian Lacroix, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Paul Smith and Issey Miyake, this year it's the turn of Courreges to dress Evian's bottle.

For the occasion, and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the French mineral water brand, Courreges has come up with an elegant white and blooming fluorescent pink design in emblematic flowers.

The limited-edition bottles cost Bt120 at most supermarkets.

Courreges will also release 50 of its iconic white jackets to Paris' super-hip Colette boutique. To order, visit www.Colette.fr.

Tees for those in need

The chilly December weather has inspired the Siam Centre fashion store Mob F to commission eight limited-edition T-shirts, the sales of which will benefit the needy.

Designers and celebrities teamed up to create the shirts under the "Hom Rak@Siam" ("Wrap with Love@Siam") umbrella.

Thanyapat Srivisakorn of Paul B teams with singer Patcha Nampan in presenting the spirit of "fighto" in "Fox" while ACBD's Kong Kittikorn and actress Siraphan Wattanajinda send their good wishes with "Love".

Other celeb pairings are Wattanapong Bhuchume of Bhuchume and Ann Thongprasom, Prapapas Angsusilp of Blonde and Araya A Hargett, and Chatmanee Taesuntornpairoh of 5ifh, and Sririta Jensen.

Just 200 shirts in each design are available and they cost Bt300. Proceeds after tax deduction will go to Friends in Need (of "Pa") Volunteers Foundation. Call (02) 658 1000 extension 500.
