The Barbadian singer jets into Asia later this year

Barbados-born superstar Rihanna is all set to bring her special sparkle to Macao with the announcement by Live Nation Global Touring that she’ll be performing at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Arena on September 13 as part of her Diamonds World Tour.

Rihanna has dominated global charts with “Diamonds,” the fastest-rising single of her career to date and the first single to be released from “Unapologetic”, her seventh studio album for Island Def Jam in just seven years.

The recipient of six Grammy Awards and seven Billboard Music Awards, Rihanna has sold more than 41 million albums and 150 million digital tracks worldwide, and currently holds the record as the top-selling digital artist of all time.

Forbes recently named Rihanna the world’s number one social media star with more than 2.9 billion views on YouTube/VEVO, the most for any female artist, 63 million plus Facebook fans, and in excess of 27 million Twitter followers. The singer also boasts 12 Hot 100 number one singles and overall 24 Top 10 singles, along with 18 number one singles on the Billboard Dance Club Song Charts.

Her previous hits include “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”, “Don’t Stop The Music”, “Love The Way You Lie”, “Man Down”, “Only Girl (In The World)”, “Rehab”, “S&M”, “Umbrella” and her breakthrough number “Pon de Replay.”

Set to be a spectacular event, the concert venue at the 15,000-seat CotaiArena is the only space in Asia to rank in Pollstar’s Top 100 Worldwide Arena Venues based on ticket sales. It is the top entertainment destination in southern China, hosting the world’s and the region’s biggest names in music, sports and awards shows.

Live Nation Network is one of the world’s leading provider of entertainment marketing solutions, enabling nearly 800 advertisers to tap into the 200 million consumers Live Nation delivers annually through its live event and digital platforms.
