The State Railway of Thailand rewards the winners of its short film contest

The State Railway of Thailand recently held the "Dern Thang Doo Nang Lao Ruang" event to announce the winners of its short film contest, dubbed "Nai Khwam Phookphan Khong Chan Kup Rotfai Thai" at Hua Lampong Railway Station.

The railway station was designed in such a way that it oozed the ambience of '70s and '80s and was divided into four zones: Hua Lamphong Drama, Sanamluang, Platform and Paper Doll.

"The contest aims to give a chance to Thai youngsters to showcase their abilities and make their free time more meaningful at the end of term by reflecting their views of the SRT through a short film," explained Kamolchanok Mookda, who's in charge of advertising and tourism services for the SRT.

More than 70 short films were entered for the contest and 10 were selected as winners.

Best Short Film was "The Railspiration" from a team of The Wolf Film from Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin, Pohchang Academy of Arts, who also picked up the prize for Best Inspirational Film. Best Super-Ver Film was "Inspiration" by Nok Khum Team from Mahasarakham University.

Popular Film was "Chan Nang Rotfai Pai Yiem Mae" by Finviw Team from Khon Kaen University.

Best Cinematography and Best Screenplay went to Ruam Mitr Production for "Plai Rang Rotfai".

Silpakorn University's "Duangjai Haruhan" picked up the Best Actress prize while the Everyday team also from Silpakorn University went home with Best Actor award for "Everyday Proh Rak … Yoo Kup Rao Thuk Wan"
