Triumph teams up with Kloset and Moo for |a dazzling show of 'resort swimwear'
Summer is the time to show off the results of your dieting and exercise, so Triumph, the international swimwear brand, had some great suggestions at “Make Waves – Inspiring Resort Trends 2013”, held recently at the Sofitel So Hotel.
Thirty stunning “resort-style” swimsuits were shown on the catwalk in mix-and-match style, with the models including superstars Khemanit “Pancake” Jamikorn and Yossawadee Hassadeevijit.
The 2013 collection comprises captivating designs featuring lace, bold petal prints and retro wave patterns. A sexy snake print was crafted on sculpted swimsuits with glittering jewelled embellishments. All the inspiring ensembles were complemented by the work of designers Mollika Ruangkritya, a founder of Kloset, and Nat Mangkang, creative director at Moo, and Chulalux Piyasombatkul, Moo’s eyewear designer.
Nat said she was pleased that Triumph had developed specific patterns to appeal to Asian customers. “The philosophy at Triumph is similar to that of Kloset, which is to pay attention to textures, techniques of embroidery and meticulous material selection,” she said.
“This year both brands are focusing on unique and outstanding patterned fabric prints, so we have taken a selection of some of the pieces from the show and matched them with Kloset items to create chic new vacation outfits, ideal for beach resorts. These are ensembles that show a passion for fashion. They’re fun and charmingly unique.”
The “Resort Trend” is inspired by the sophisticated ways to relax you find in the world’s most desirable destinations.
“The ingenious collection offers styles that meet the demands of high fashion and yet remain totally functional,” said Chonladee Liamtrakul, Triumph’s marketing chief.
“The line sparkles with snake prints, intricate beading and jewelled embellishments to offer a superstar look, and the range of paisley, polka dot, floral prints and delicate lace, coupled with a range of superb accessories, can be mixed and matched to suit any occasion.”
The collection also features a contemporary retro theme with “water world” graphic prints in coral and heavenly aquamarine hues and delicate lace on soft Lurex. Triumph also offers functionality with “Slim and Shape” designs that closely fit the body thanks to hidden panels that gather and sculpt.
Bold prints and solid colours look delightful in cool shades from cherry red to fresh turquoise. Floral prints and retro wave patterns are crafted into youthful one- and two-piece designs, featuring artistic scalloped edges, pretty frill skirts and sexy tie-ups. They offer a dramatic ode to a more glamorous era.
Other highlights include captivating illusions of lace overlays and elaborate strap designs, combining sophisticated, flattering design with vivid, exotic prints that perfectly frame your silhouette and flatter curves. Dramatic cut-out panels, sensual low-back designs and super-sexy monokinis in hot new shades stand out with their prints.
You definitely need sunglasses, too. “Fashionable ladies want to look good all the time, not just on the red carpet, but in everyday life in the city and when relaxing at the beach too, particularly when at the hippest resorts,” Chulalux said.
“Sexy monokinis, tankinis and bikinis can be matched with stylish accessories such as sun hats, beach bags and the coolest sunglasses possible. Inspired by tonight’s Triumph collection, the latest eyewear from Moo can be mixed and matched to suit a sophisticated, fun or practical look that will always get you noticed.”
