His wife, Montha Kaekthet, 45, said John died at 3:45 am at their house in Plaengyao district.
She said John developed chest pain at 3 am but he refused to go to hospital. At 3:30 am, he could not breathe, so she called the district hospital for an ambulance but John died before the ambulance arrived.
