Nation TV reported at 1:30 pm that troops and protesters exchanged gunfire at Lumpini Park as troops were closing in on the red-shirt protesters inside the park.
Over 100 rounds of gunfire were heard.
Red shirts were trying to expand their occupation in the area but troops were trying to contain the area, leading to clashes.
