Corporal Jirasak Supso and 11 other troops were patrolling a village road on foot in Baehot village in Tambon Huay Krathing of Krong Penang district when insurgents detonated a homemade bomb to ambush them at 8:05 am.
Jirasak was rushed to the Yala provincial hospital after the attack. He blast impact caused him to suffer internal injury.
