Former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra is healthy but does not want to be linked with political issues, his brother-in-law Somchai Wongsawat said Tuesday.
Somchai, also a former premier, said Thaksin made a phone call to greet him on Sunday. However, Thaksin was not somewhere near Thailand and he was healthy.
"Thaksin has no signs of illness. His voice is still clear and he is healthy. If he is really sick, the Shinawatra family has no reason to conceal that. If Thaksin has some sickness, it must be mentally as he misses his home and his kids. Although (Khunyong Pojaman Na Pombejra) is his ex-wife, he still misses her," Somchai said.
