Samai Wongsuwan is a suspected bomber responsible for the Bang Bua Thong explostion and might be linked to four other bomb attacks, national police chief General Wichean Potephosree said on Wednesday.
Pending the outcome of forensic checks, investigators have reason to believe the arm found at the scene of the blast belonged to Samai who has yet to be determined whether dead or alive, he said.
Samai, 46, is a red-shirt guard involved in the rally at Rajprasong before his sudden disappearance a day before the crowd dispersal on May 19. He is also a fugitive facing an arrest warrant for involvement in a bomb attack in Mae Ping, Chiang Mai.
