Gen Ninnart Biewkhaimook, the aide, said Surayud's lawyer has sent a letter to the department to inform his wish not to appeal against the forestry director-general's order to take back his land.
Ninnart said Surayud's representative will officially hand over the land to forestry officials on Thursday.
He said the officials will measure the plot and officially announce the suspension of land usage by Surayud.
