People's Alliance for Democracy leader Sondhi Limthongkul has been found guilty of defaming ex-premier Thaksin Shinawatra and received a suspended jail term for two years due to his first offence.
The litigation stemmed from Sondhi's remarks to fellow yellow shirts in the United States in 2007. ASTV and Manager Group subsequently aired and published the comments.
In the hearing of cause for the judicial review, the Criminal Court removed the two media outlets from a list of defendants after finding no evidence to link the two to the defamation.
