Soldier injured in Yala bomb attack


Yala - A soldier was injured when insurgents detonated a bomb to ambush a patrol unit in this southern border province Wednesday.
The attack occurred at 10:30 am on the Bayo-Toloh Road in Toloh Village in Tambon Patae in Yaha district.
Police said the unit of seven soldiers was patrolling the road on foot and the bomb occurred when they arrived at the spot.
Private Weerawat Klunniam, 22, was hit by bomb shrapnel at his chest and was rushed to the Yala provincial hospital.
