President Obama defends stimulus bill

President Barack Obama admitted Wednesday that millions of Americans had yet to feel the economic recovery, but insisted he had alleviated the economic recession.

Obama blasted the Republicans for misrepresenting the targets and achievements of the USD787-billion mixture of tax cuts and government spendings, which he argued had saved, or created about two million jobs.

With unemployment at 9.7 percent and projected to fall slowly as economic growth improves, Obama admitted that millions of Americans are still without jobs.
