New York - PepsiCo Inc, the world's largest snack maker, reported doubled earnings Thursday for the fourth quarter compared to the same period a year earlier.
Net income doubled to 1.43 billion dollars.
Changes in pricing helped compensate for little-changed sales volume at Pepsi's Americas foods division and volume declines at Americas beverages. Total revenues increased 4.5 per cent to 13.3 billion dollars.
Latin America foods' net revenues rose 10 per cent, leading the food gains in the Americas, Bloomberg financial news service reported.
Coca-Cola Co, the world's largest soft-drink maker, said earlier this week that its fourth-quarter profit gained 55 per cent as sales volume grew in China and India.//dpa
