CHON BURI -- The Royal Thai Police's special unit on human trafficking arrested a 30-year-old woman Thursday for procuring girls aged 15-18 to have sex with customers, most of whom were foreigners in Pattaya City.
The police allege after watching suspect Phakaphan Phaohong's procuring of sex workers for some time, they held a sting operation at 4am yesterday and apprehended Phakaphan. They also took into custody Bt3,000 as cash evidence of sex service buying, two 20-year-old women and one 18-year-old woman in a hotel room in Soi Chomthien 7.
Phakaphan reportedly confessed she had procured women for foreign tourists in Pattaya many times before and received Bt500-Bt700 from each girl's payment. She said most customers ordered girls aged 15-18 whom she got from the beach or karaoke bars.
