NACC resolves to seek impeachment against Democrat MP

The National Anti-Corruption Commission Thursday resolved to ask the Supreme Court to disqualify and ban Democrat Party MP Chumpol Kanchana for alleged assets concealment.
NACC commissioner Klanarong Chanthik said the anti-graft agency found that the Surat Thani MP had concealed his debt for at least 13 times when he declared his assets since 1997 and had also concealed his several amounts of debt in a firm ranging from about Bt76 million to Bt191 million.
Klanarong said the NACC demanded Chumpol to defend himself three times but he did not reply so the NACCC decided to file a lawsuit against him in the Supreme Court's Criminal Division for Holders of Political Office.
