Islamic Bank of Thailand will start to provide education loans this May, Sathit Limpongpan, permanent secretary for finance said on Monday.
Students can now apply for educational loans from Islamic Bank this May. Currently, students could only apply for educational loans via Krung Thai Bank.
For the past twelve years, the Student Loan Fund has provided 3 million students with Bt326 billion in educational loans, according to Sathit who is also the chairman of the fund.
