Insurgents launch 30 attacks to seek publicity: deputy southern Army chief


Hat Yai, Songkhla - Deputy southern Army chief Maj Gen Udomchai Thammasarorat said Monday that insurgents launched some 30 attacks in Narathiwat Sunday to seek publicity.
He said the insurgents wanted to created turbulence before the end of the fasting month to seek publicity.
"They want to make news because the attacks were aimed at damaging properties, not to kill or harm anyone," Udomchai said.
