Five M79 attacks at Army camp in Chiang Mai

Unknown assailants fired five grenades with the M-79 grenade launchers at the Fifth Special Warfare Regiment in Chiang Mai's Mae Rim district, Third Army Region commander Lt General Thanongsak Apirakyothin said on Friday.
The attacks happened Thursday's night. Two of the five grenades exploded on the ground of the military camp but there were no casualties reported. The other three grenades were duds.
Thanongsak said he suspected the attacks were coordinated since several launcers were used in the simultaneous firings of the five grenades. Based on the projectile of the grenades, the launch site might locate about 50 meters from the camp.
