Srithai Superware Plc, the country's largest kitchenware manufacturer, factory in Chonburi province was hit by a fire early Tuesday.
Damage was initially estimated at 70 per cent, or about Bt100 million. The over 3,000 workers will likely be affected by the business interruption caused by the fire. Delivery of goods and production capacity will also be affected, the company said.
Meanwhile, the company shares fell 5.7 per cent to Baht 7.40 on Tuesday, the sharpest decline since November 2008.
