Asian stocks showed strong gains on Thursday after Wall Street has its best daily performance in eight weeks following encouraging U.S. and Chinese manufacturing data which eased investors' concerns over the state of the world's economy.
Japan's Nikkei 225 average rose 1.2 percent on Thursday, moving further away from a 16-month low touched the previous day.The broader Topix inched up 0.8 percent to 817.57.
Seoul shares advanced on Thursday, following strong gains on Wall Street,
The Shanghai Composite index rose 0.9 per cent to 2,647.63, while the Hang Seng jumped 1.2 per cent to 20,868.99.
Australian stocks was up 0.9 per cent on Australia's rapid economic growth.
Singapore's Straits Times Index gained 0.3 per cent while Malaysia's KL Composite index climbed 0.1 per cent.
