Asian stocks reversed earlier gains on Wednesday, but trading was kept within a tight range
after the slight gain on Wall Street overnight.
Japan's Nikkei Average opened down 8.6 points, or 0.1 percent at 10,559.05.
Seoul shares turned lower after a positive open, with the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) trading down 0.1 percent.
Australian stocks was flat as banks and telecom stocks tracked gains on Wall Street, offsetting losses in the miners.
The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index fell 7.9 points to 4,829.3.
