The prime minister left on an Airbus A319 of the Air Force at the Don Mueng military airport at 3 pm.
He is scheduled to return and arrive at the Don Mueng military airport at 6:30 am on Thursday.
The visit is the first Thai prime minister's visit to Qatar since the two countries established diplomatic ties in 1980.
