74-year-old woman killed in karaoke shop fire


Samut Prakan - A 74-year-old woman was killed when a fire raged through a karaoke shop here early Sunday.
Yupa Sriprasit, the mother-in-law of the shop owner, was staying at the shop in Bang Pu district at 5:30 am.
The shop owner, Koijai Sukha, 42, said she closed the shop at 4 am and let her mother-in-law, who was partially paralyzed to stay overnight at the shop alone.
The fire spread to a sticker shop and a used plank shop nearby.
Some 20 fire engines took about three hours to put out the blaze.
