24 Narathiwat schools following flooding

Narathiwat - Twenty-four schools in three districts of this southern border province were closed Friday after main roads linking to the schools were underwater following three days of torrential rains.

Pipat Manee, director of the Narathiwat Education Zone 3, said the 24 schools would be closed until water subsides.

The three districts are Waeng, Sugnai Padi and Sukhirin.

He added that students could not travel to their school because of the heavy rains.
