The Stock Exchange of Thailand Index today hit a new 14-year high, with the closing at 929.90 points thanks mainly to the end of Map Ta Phut crisis.
The market gained 1.02 per cent from yesterday, on brisk turnover of Bt55 billion.
Driving the index above the level unseen since 1997 financial crisis were heavy-weight energy stocks. Being the top active, PTT today advanced Bt22 or 8.18 per cent to Bt291 while Siam Cement rose Bt10 or 3.30 per cent to Bt313.
