PM Centre pins hopes on technology showcase

PM Centre (Thailand), a leading supplier of solutions for the eventorganising industry, has high hopes that its "Asean ESP'10 Bangkok" campaign will boost business in the fourth quarter.

Through the technology currently being showcased at its head office, in collaboration with business partners, it hopes to entice new customers ahead of the fourth quarter when companies usually line up a number of activities to boost sales, said Suree Kunawong, managing director of PM Centre.

"More business in the fourth quarter should replenish the loss of revenue in the second quarter. At best, our revenue this year would be at last year's level," she said.

The company last year reaped revenue of Bt200 million. The equipmentsupply market is valued at Bt2.4 billion, or 10 per cent of the event business.

To draw new customers, PM Centre is hosting the campaign at its head office at Soi Nuanchan 56, Bueng Kum, during September 28 until next Wednesday under the theme "4D Learning Planet". Last year's campaign drew such clients as Nissan when it joined the Bangkok International Motor Show. It also supplied equipment to the 60th Anniversary Celebrations of His Majesty's Accession to the Throne and The Legend of Angkor Wat soundandlight show.

Suree said the technology showcased at this year's event is as good as that shown at the Shanghai World Expo. She noted that the technology would play a major part in educational events, and the company will offer it for sale to 500 university students who will visit the head office during the event.

She said this year's highlight is on LED technology with help from such partners as China's CreateLED Electronics. The LED screen can be as large as 2 x 3 metres, 10 x 15 metres and 12 x 20 metres with prices starting at Bt100,000.

Other business partners include Panasonic Siew Sales (Thailand), Siam Music Yamaha and Robert Bosch.
