Star Fashion Group, a distributor of fashionable clothes and shoes, yesterday launched its first store called "Shoe Cafe" in Paradise Park so young shoppers can relax while trying on the latest footwear from many countries.
Inspired by his personal interest in drinking coffee and travelling, managing director Viphop Tatiyamaneekul spent Bt5 million to design Shoe Cafe to suit the young generation's lifestyle with a combination of coffee shop and shoe outlet.
Located on the first floor with a space of 100 square metres, the store offers popular brands from the United States, Italy, England and Korea.
The company has developed two concepts - Shoe Cafe for a large space of 100sqm and Shoe Studio for a small space of 50 sqm. Two more stores are expected to open in Bangkok next year. Shoe Cafe aims to capture teens and young working people with styles priced from Bt1,500-Bt3,500.
The company distributes shoe brands including FitFlop, Columbia, Skono and Dude to leading department stores. This year, the shoe business is expected to increase 15 per cent from Bt150 million last year, thanks to the opening of its own retail channel.
