SCB Securities Co Ltd has appointed Kittipong Sithiyavanich as managing director of its Equities Group in a bid to strengthen its management team and boost market share.
Kittipong will primarily engage in strengthening the company's infra-structure to pave the way for the upcoming liberalisation of the securities business. The appointment takes effect September 1, 2010.
SCBS CEO ML Thongmakut Thongyai said that Kittipong will mainly oversee the business and strategy formulation of the Equities Group, while also taking charge of system enhancement and human resources management. He will also explore new business opportunities to boost market share and to fully respond to the requirements of both individual and institutional investors.
"This new appointment totally aligns with the new organization structure and serves to strengthen the overall business operations of the company. We are confident that his potential and past experience will help drive the SCBS forward, particularly with the upcoming liberalization of the securities business," Thongmakut added.
Kittipong Sithiyavanich has almost 20 years experience in the securities business, with expertise covering investment banking, corporate finance, initial public offering, securities listing, and especially securities brokerage, a field in which he worked intensively for more than 10 years. He was part of the Trinity Securities Co Ltd founding team that later successfully listed the Trinity Securities Group on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. He also played a major role in effectively operating the just established Brokerage Service Department, providing excellent services to individual and institutional investors. In addition, his achievements include the rehabilitation of many listed companies affected by the financial crisis in 1997.
Kittipong earned his bachelor's degree with honors in Marketing from the Faculty of Commerce and Accounting, Thammasat University in 1991, and MBA in Finance from Michigan State University in 1994.
