The economic ministers today approved the Bt22 million budget to help 3,000 workers affected by the political riot.
The Labour Ministry asked for a total budget of Bt143 million for this purpose, and it has been granted Bt86 million so far. Training programmes will be launched while the workers are guaranteed of 75 per cent of their monthly pay.
The ministers also approved the waive of minimum electricity charges for 10 hotels which closed business during the protest, worth about Bt10 million.
