THAI raises Bt5 billion loans from two banks

Two banks yesterday made financial commitments to Thai Airways International for the national carrier's financial restructuring plan.

Suthas Ruangmanamongkol, presi¬dent of Tisco Bank, said the bank had provided a sevenyear, Bt3billion term loan that would strengthen THAI's business plan.

 TMB provided a loan of Bt2 billion with a sevenyear term.

Bt2 billion sales at Home Builder fair

Home Builder 2010 succeeded in generating contracts worth Bt2.2 bil¬lion during its fiveday run last week at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre.

 Residences priced at Bt2.5 million toBt5 million were popular.

 Almost 40 per cent of the visitors plan to build a residence in the sec¬ond half of this year.

American International AssuranceThailand is offering a new option for customers who want to capitalise on the positive return of the equity mar¬kets by launching the 2PAY10 Secure HSCEI.

 The 10year endowment policy comes with a twoyear premium pay¬ment and return linked to the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index for shares of Chinese companies regis¬tered in the Hong Kong market.

 The product is being offered until September 13 on a firstcome, firstserved basis with a target of Bt150 million, Michael Parker, AIA Thailand's chief marketing officer, said yesterday. - The Nation
