Bangkok Bank's executive Bodin Unakul and former Siam Commercial Bank executive Pakorn Peetathawatchai are appointed executive vice presidents of the Stock Exchange of Thailand. They are expected to help prepare the bourse for further liberalisation with their experiences in the banking industry.
Pakorn was in charge of SCB's treasury department, which is specialised in financial product issuance. Meanwhile, Bodin is a veteran in settlement and clearing.
SET President Charamporn Jotikasthira said with their expertise, there should be no conflict from insiders against this appointment.
"Our move is in line with the new organisational structure which focuses more on job segregation. The horizontal structure would facilitate the operations, to accommodate future changes," he said.
