The Cabinet today approved the Finance Ministry's reshuffle, which sees Areepong Bhoocha-oom appointed as the new permanent secretary.
Naris Chaiyasoot, deputy permanent secretary, will become the director-general of the Fiscal Policy Office while the office's incumbent chief Sathit Rangkasiri will lead the Revenue Department. Revenue Department director-general Winai Wittawatkaravet will then lead the Treasury Department.
Pongpanu Svetarundra is moving from the Comptroller General's Office to the Excise Department. Succeeding him is Rangsan Srivorasart, now an inspector general. Another inspector general Prasong Poonthanet is named the Customs Department's chief.
Customs Department Director-General Somchai Sajjapongse will then head the State Enterprise Policy Committee. Other three officials - Supa Piyajitti, Somchai Poonsawat and Thevan Vichitakul - are named deputy permanent secretaries.
