Siam Cement Group finance chief Roongrote Rangsiyopash today said the National Environment Board's decision of the list of harmful projects gives clarity to the private sector in plotting business plans, which will drive the economy.
On SCG projects in Map Ta Phut which remain suspended, he said it is up to the Court what the projects should do next.
"SCG confirms our commitment in promoting co-existence between the industrial sector and community. For all projects invested in Map Ta Phut after the Constitution 2007 implementation, we strictly follows the Article 67 (2)," he said in a statement.
The National Environment Board, chaired by Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, approved the list of harmful projects today. Instead of 18 activities as proposed earlier, 11 activities are classified harmful.
