Former prime minister Banharn Silapaacha welcomed his 78th birthday on Thursday with much cheer.
His Bangkok residence started getting crowded with wellwishers, including Prime Minister
Abhisit Vejjajiva who showed up to present him with a bouquet of flowers. While accepting birthday wishes, Banharn advised Abhisit to complete his last year as PM and not dissolve Parliament.
"It's boring to keep dissolving the House and holding national elections. I hope you don't give up, and if you have any problems, you can call me," he said.
