The Millennium Hilton Bangkok is approaching the wedding and meeting markets by initiating two events this month and next.
Thomas Hoeborn, general manager of the hotel and regional general manager Thailand, said yesterday that the Viva Wedding Bazaar, which took place at the hotel's grand ballroom last weekend, featured selected wedding partners including PerrierJouet by Pernod Ricard, Pode Hair Creation, Ganit, Viriya, MAC, Jo Malone, Villa Medica and ipen.
Other booths were Baan Khan Mak, Bright Ears, Forever Memories, The Spa at Millennium Hilton Bangkok, De Preco, Lovable, and Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corp.
It was a new marketing tactic for the hotel, offering a onestop service and tailormade wedding planning. Visitors could meet and mingle with wedding ambassadors to discuss personal needs ranging from invitations, dining, entertainment, flowers, dresses, photographers and videographers to jewellery and makeup.
They had a chance to win prizes from the Millennium Hilton Bangkok and a threenight honeymoon package from the Conrad Tokyo.
Millennium Hilton Bangkok launched "Weddings on the Water" to celebrate couples' happy occasion at restaurants with riverside settings or among the clouds on the 32nd floor at ThreeSixty.
The hotel's next event will be the Meetings Fair from September 2223 to encourage business meetings and boost corporate clients. The spotlight will be on meeting rooms and facilities, flexibility, creativity and tailormade business solutions for conferences, seminars and other corporate or social functions.
The hotel's entire 30th floor is the trademark, with 10 meeting rooms boasting walltowall windows, maximising natural light and offering panoramic views of the city. The hotel's ballroom can accommodate up to 900 guests.
The hotel also created the "Beach at Millennium Hilton" to give guests a touch of an island environment with a whitesand sundeck and 20metre pool.
