Somsak Chutipongpimol, 52, plans to buy undeveloped land in the Rama II area at prices ranging from Bt1 million to Bt3 million when he visits the Home Buyer Expo 2010 that started yesterday at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre.
Another homebuyer aged 70 wants to find a singlefamily home priced up to Bt10 million and located near the mass transit system.
"I plan to buy a house for my daughter that is close to the Skytrain or subway and matches her lifestyle," she said.
She visited this event because she hopes to look at more new residential projects to compare locaŽtions and prices before making a decision to buy.
Those who plan to buy a residence will enjoy special loan packages from financial institutions and special promotions from developers that join the fair.
Borisut Kasinpila, managing director of Home Buyer Guide, said more than 500 projects would be launched at the event - both low and highrise resiŽdences offering special discounted prices for visitors who book at the expo.
Most financial institutions are also offering special mortgage packages and special prices for nonperforming assets, he said.
Siam City Bank offers a variablerate mortgage, quoting 3.25 percentage points below the minŽimum lending rate in the first two years. Those who buy an MRTA Plus lifeinsurance policy will also gain a 50 basispoint rate reduction in the first year.
The organiser expects more than 100,000 visitors generating sales of nearly Bt2 billion during the four days of the event, he said.
