Export-Import Bank of Thailand and other nine banks will host "EXIMSurance Alliance Fair" on September 9-10, 2010 at Siam Paragon to promote export risk protection among exporters.
This facility allows exporters to apply for EXIMSurance service at any banks. The Fair also features advisory services on financing facilities for overseas projects, including other financial services and privileges relating to overseas trade transactions.
The other nine banks are TMB Bank, Islamic Bank of Thailand, Government Savings Bank, Bank of Ayudhya, Kasikornbank, Krung Thai Bank, Siam Commercial Bank, Bangkok Bank and Siam City Bank.
In 2009, EXIM Thailand received a capital injection of Bt5 billion to support the expansion of its export credit insurance service (EXIMSurance). At present, EXIM Thailand signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with various commercial banks to provide EXIMSurance service to boost Thai exporters'confidence in starting or expanding their businesses in the existing or new markets while taking away exporters' worry about non-payment risks from overseas buyers or buyer's banks.
