The opposition's anti-corruption committee will investigate a claim by PM's Office Minister Ong-art Klampaiboon that he was Bt15 million richer because of wedding gifts of cash he and his wife received two years ago, Pheu Thai Party MP Anudit Nakhontap said yesterday.
Ong-art had earlier said that 5,000 to 6,000 guests attended three ceremonies to mark his engagement, his wedding and a wedding celebration.
Anudit said his party would check who presented what gifts and if the couple received them before or after the wedding. He said he would check on the list of guests who attended the wed-ding if there was anyone who gave Bt100,000 to Bt1 million.
