Toyota Motor Thailand is turning to socialmedia networks to promote its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities to the public.
Vudhigorn Suriyachantananont, senior vice president in Toyota Thailand's administration division, said the firm's Facebook page, www.facebook.com/toyotaCSR, offered information on road safety, the environment, technology transfer and education. It also helps promote the quality of life among communities.
He said Toyota started using online communication channels six years ago via www.etoyotaclub.com, which helped smooth communications between the company and its customers.
"Social networking plays an important role in reaching target groups. We can directly communicate with members and members can propose their concepts to us online. This way we can conduct useful activities for the public and address demands from the new generation," Vudhigorn said.
