Total Access Communication (Dtac) yesterday revealed that its quarterly net profit grew 78 per cent on year to Bt2.4 billion, while revenue rose 8.9 per cent to Bt17.5 billion. In the quarter, it added another 352,000 subscribers in the quarter, bringing the total subscriber base to 20.6 million.
DTAC 's chief executive officer Tore Johnsen attributed the results to revenue growth and continued improvement in cost base. Cashflow target this year is revised up from Bt16.0 billion to Bt17.0 billion.
Dtac also named Vanna Pornsinsiriruk, a former executive of Holcim, as new chief financial officer, succeeding Terje Borge, who is appointed new CFO of DiGi, Telenor's mobile operator in Malaysia. Her appointment will be effective on August 1.
