Despite the emergency decree, the first gathering of red shirts in the Northeast has been scheduled in Chaiyaphum's Nong Bua Daeng district this Saturday.
Deputy Pheu Thai Party spokesman Wim Roongwattanachinda said the party's strategic team has agreed to hold seminars for MPs and the MP candidate-to-be in the northern and northeastern provinces where emergency has been lifted.
The events would include speeches criticising the government's work and clarifying the red-shirt rallies, he said.
The events have been scheduled for July 29 in Lamphun, July 30 in Kamphaeng Phet, August 1 in Surin, August 2 in Si Sa Ket, August 6 in Nong Khai and August 8 in Ratchaburi, he said.
